Jonathan is a Director of the firm and supervisor within the Family Law department. While he undertakes all areas of family work, including divorce and private law children cases, he specialises in care proceedings and has been a member of the Law Society Children Panel since 2012.
He completed his law degree and professional examinations at Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic and has been a qualified solicitor for over 35 years. Jonathan joined Howard & Co. in 2003 and became a partner in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, he trained with a sole practitioner and worked as a general solicitor, gaining broad experience across criminal law, civil litigation, conveyancing, wills, and probate.
Outside of his legal work, Jonathan and his wife run the Batley and District Mencap Society, supporting people with learning disabilities and their families. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling and exploring in his motorhome.
